NEET PG Choice Planner is a free, independent tool run by Syed Fazil Basheer. This page says what it keeps, why, and how to have it deleted. Last updated October 22, 2026.
Without signing in
Your plan stays in your own browser. The choices you pick are never sent to us.
If you sign in
- Your email address, to send sign-in links and to know which plan is yours.
- Your plan: the choices you pick, their order and your notes, plus up to 300 earlier versions so you can restore them from History.
- Your signed-in devices: the browser name and IP address of each sign-in, so a session can be recognised and ended.
- A name and NEET PG roll number, only if an administrator added you as a student and filled them in.
We use this only to run the planner. We do not sell it, show ads, or use tracking cookies. The only cookies keep you signed in and protect forms from forgery.
Visit counts
To learn how many people use the planner, each page view is counted with GoatCounter, which we run on our own server. It records the page and its title, whether you are signed in, the site you came from and any campaign tag in the link, your browser and operating system, screen size and country (and region, for visitors from the US, Russia or China), and which actions you took in the planner: opening a plan saved on this device, searching, which filters and groupings you use (such as state or quota, never which state or quota you chose), entering a rank, changing, reordering or adding notes to your plan, exporting it, importing it from MCC, and whether the Chrome or Firefox extension is installed. Each of these is counted at most once per page view, as is roughly how many choices your plan has (in bands such as 11–50) when a saved plan opens and when you leave a page where you changed it. If you are offline, these counts wait in your browser and are sent when you are back online. Which link you clicked on the home page or this page, and opening or using the help menu or the Share panel, are counted too. It does not record what you searched for, the values you filtered by, your rank, what you picked, sets no cookies, and does not store your IP address or anything that identifies you. To count how many different browsers use the planner without identifying any of them, the first time a browser opens the site it keeps a note in its own storage and we count one first visit; on each later day it opens the site we count one returning visit. The note holds only the date it was last counted, is never sent, and stays until you clear this site's data. Pages GoatCounter would not count leave no note and count nothing.
So we can see how many people are using the planner right now, each open page also tells our own server once a minute that it is open and visible. It sends only a random number kept in that tab, which is forgotten when you close it, and whether you are signed in. We keep that for a day.
Server logs
Like any website, the server logs each request it receives: the time, the page asked for, your IP address and browser, so we can keep the site running and fix problems. This includes the visit counts described above, so while a log entry lasts it links your IP address to the page or action it counted. The tab number above is left out. Each service keeps only about 10 MB of logs and deletes the oldest entries beyond that; at today's traffic that is a few months of entries. We never use the logs to count or follow visitors.
Where it is kept and who helps
- The app, its database and the visit counts run on a server in Germany (Hetzner), with backups in Hetzner object storage, also in Germany.
- Sign-in emails are sent through Brevo.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when they load.
The browser extension
The extension keeps a copy of your plan in your own browser and reads the MCC choice-filling page, or the planner's practice copy of it, only when one is open. It never sees your MCC password, security pin or OTP, and it makes no network requests of its own. A list you import from MCC goes only to the planner tab, and is saved to your account only if you are signed in and press Replace. When it copies your plan to MCC, it notes that it did, with the number of choices in the same rough bands, and when it reads MCC's list back it notes only that it did. It hands only those notes to the planner the next time you open it, which counts each one with the visit counts above. It never records which choices. In Firefox the extension keeps no such notes, though the planner still counts that an extension is installed. Uses on the practice page are not counted, and the practice page keeps its list only in this browser's storage and never sends it.
ChatGPT, Claude and other assistants
If you connect an AI assistant, we keep its name, the address it returns to, the IP address you allowed it from, when you connected it and when it last used the planner, so you can see it and disconnect it on the connect page. It can read the catalog, your email address and name, and your plan, and change your plan, nothing else. What you say to the assistant, and the results it gets from the planner, are handled by that assistant's company under its own privacy policy.
Deleting your data
Email hey@fazzle.dev from the address you sign in with and we will delete your account, plan and history within 7 days. Signing out on a device ends that session straight away, and disconnecting an assistant cuts it off straight away.
